Maria Mock embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 2012, building on her 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. With a B.S. in Business Management and Accounting from Franklin University and training as an Administrator in Cincinnati, OH, Maria sharpened her leadership skills, completing her Core of Knowledge courses at Ohio State University. Inspired by a mentor who turned a nursing home job into a thriving business, Maria returned to Columbus, OH, and founded Hands from Heaven, LLC, an adult day care facility and home health care service.
For nearly a decade, Maria made a meaningful impact in her community by providing vital services and navigating the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, which severely affected elder care. She not only persevered but flourished during this difficult time.
In addition to her healthcare work, Maria founded The All Purpose Center, a transformative organization designed to empower individuals of all ages to discover and align with their true purpose in life. The All Purpose Center offers a range of services, including youth mentoring, transitional housing programs, and workshops focused on personal and professional development. This organization holds deep meaning for Maria, as it allows her to give back to her community in a more expansive way. The center provides a space where individuals can find support, guidance, and tools to create a better future, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth.
Maria’s vision for The All Purpose Center stems from her personal experiences and passion for helping others, especially youth and underserved populations. For her, it represents a safe haven and a beacon of hope for those who are looking to find their path. Through the center, Maria continues to leave an indelible mark on the lives of countless people in her community.
Maria later transitioned her wealth of experience into business consultancy, drawing from her early career roles in dietary and housekeeping at a nursing home and her experience building her own healthcare business. She understands the unique challenges, particularly as a Black woman, of breaking through in the business world.
Today, Maria is dedicated to empowering individuals with entrepreneurial aspirations, guiding them through the process of starting their own businesses. Through her consulting work, she helps turn their dreams into successful ventures.In addition to her consulting, Maria is an author and motivational speaker, sharing her personal memoir, which highlights her experiences of resilience, determination, and success.
